How to play Canfield Solitaire
A reserve-based classic with cyclic building and a variable foundation rank. The board above uses a deterministic shuffle, so a shared Deal ID recreates the same opening layout.
- Foundation building begins at the rank dealt first and wraps King to Ace.
- Build tableau downward in alternating colors, also wrapping Ace onto Two when needed.
- Empty columns refill from the reserve when possible.
- Draw three stock cards to the waste.
Strategy that matters
- Release the reserve before optimizing the tableau.
- Remember that ranks wrap in both tableau and foundations.
- Use foundation moves to trigger automatic reserve refills.
Why this version feels different
True Solitaire keeps the playing surface in front of you. Hints describe a legal action without pretending a heuristic move guarantees a win. Undo, numbered deals, themes, card sizing, and local statistics are available without an account.
