How to play Eight Off
A same-suit FreeCell ancestor with eight reserve cells. The board above uses a deterministic shuffle, so a shared Deal ID recreates the same opening layout.
- Build tableau downward by suit.
- Eight cells hold one card each; four begin occupied.
- Only Kings may start empty columns.
- Build foundations upward by suit.
Strategy that matters
- Free the initially occupied cells early.
- Preserve Kings that can open columns.
- Use same-suit sequences to reduce cell pressure.
Why this version feels different
True Solitaire keeps the playing surface in front of you. Hints describe a legal action without pretending a heuristic move guarantees a win. Undo, numbered deals, themes, card sizing, and local statistics are available without an account.
