How to play Forty Thieves
A demanding two-deck game with strict same-suit tableau building. The board above uses a deterministic shuffle, so a shared Deal ID recreates the same opening layout.
- Build tableau downward by suit.
- Move only one card at a time.
- Any card may fill an empty column.
- Build eight foundations upward by suit from Ace to King.
Strategy that matters
- Open columns before committing high cards.
- Expose and move Aces early.
- Avoid covering a useful low card with its only matching successor.
Why this version feels different
True Solitaire keeps the playing surface in front of you. Hints describe a legal action without pretending a heuristic move guarantees a win. Undo, numbered deals, themes, card sizing, and local statistics are available without an account.
Keyboard controls
